Quick start
- Type a question or upload a clear worksheet photo.
- Choose a lesson mode and click Start lesson.
- Follow the whiteboard. Pause, ask questions, or try a practice answer whenever you need to.
For a worksheet, try: “Help me with question 3a.”
1. Ask a question or upload a worksheet
Type what you need help with in “What are we working on?” or attach a clear photo. Accepted formats are JPG, PNG, and WEBP, with a total of up to 8 MB of photos in one conversation.
If the sheet has several questions, tell the tutor which one to use. Crop out names, faces, school IDs, and other personal details before uploading.
2. Choose your lesson mode
| Mode | What it does |
|---|---|
| Step-by-step mode | Explains the solution one step at a time. |
| Let me try · learn with hints | Gives guidance and asks you to try the next part yourself. Enter your answer in the whiteboard answer box. |
| Full explanation | Shows the complete explanation together. |
3. Control the pace, voice, and whiteboard
- Pause / Resume: Take time to understand, then continue.
- Replay step: Hear the current step again.
- Next step: Skip the rest of the current explanation and move forward when the next step is available.
- Full screen: Give the whiteboard more room. Use the exit button or Escape to leave full screen.
- Settings: Choose the teacher’s voice, adjust writing speed, and turn spoken explanations on or off.
While the tutor prepares a lesson, a message appears in the centre of the board. Give it a moment to read your question and plan the explanation.
4. Ask when you are stuck
Use the question box beneath the current step, or click I don’t understand. Try “Why did you subtract 3?” or “Can you explain that another way?”
The lesson pauses while you discuss the step. Ask more questions if you need to, then use the resume or continue control when you are ready.
5. Check your understanding and reduce clutter
Open the optional Check my understanding question under a step when one is offered. You can try an answer, ask for a hint, or skip it.
Hide previous questions hides discussions from earlier steps. The current step’s question tools stay visible. Click Show previous questions to bring earlier discussions back.
6. Refer to your worksheet and choose another question
Your uploaded sheet remains available during the current conversation. Click the worksheet preview or Enlarge worksheet to see it more clearly.
Use the main question box to say “Now help me with 4b.” You do not need to upload the same sheet again during that conversation.
7. Start fresh, finish, or share feedback
Choose New problem for a fresh conversation. Your previous lesson remains in My lessons. Use Continue your last lesson to reopen your current step from the beginning, or choose any saved lesson. Lessons and uploads stay available for 90 days after their last save. You can rename, mark complete, or delete lessons in My lessons. Wait for “Lesson saved” before closing the tab.
Use Sign out when you finish on a shared device. Use Share feedback to tell us what works and what could be better.
